Quality & Patient Safety

At Ortho World, patient safety is built into every step of care.

Infection Control & Sterilisation

All surgical instruments are sterilised using validated autoclave cycles. Single-use items are never reused. The operation theatre is cleaned and fumigated according to a scheduled protocol. Staff follow hand-hygiene and barrier-precaution guidelines.

Operation Theatre Standards

Our operation theatres are maintained to standard positive-pressure ventilation and laminar-flow requirements. Theatre access is restricted to authorised personnel. Equipment is serviced and calibrated at regular intervals.

Implants from Approved Suppliers

Orthopaedic implants — including Ilizarov frames, nails, plates and screws — are sourced from suppliers with valid regulatory approvals. Implant batch numbers are recorded in the patient file for traceability.

24x7 ICU & Emergency

Ortho World Hajipur operates a 24x7 intensive care unit and emergency department. Trained intensivists and nursing staff are available round the clock. Patients requiring post-operative monitoring are managed in the ICU until stable.

Patient Identification & Safe Surgery Checklist

We follow a surgical safety checklist (based on WHO guidelines) for every operation: patient identity and consent are verified before anaesthesia, before incision, and before the patient leaves the theatre. The correct site and side are marked before surgery.

Clinical Records & Data Privacy

Patient records are maintained securely. Access is restricted to the treating team. Records are not shared with third parties without patient consent, except as required by law. Patients may request a copy of their records.

Continuous Improvement

We review clinical outcomes, infection rates and patient feedback on an ongoing basis. We are working towards NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) standards and will update this page as our accreditation journey progresses.
